About the Lab
The Embodied Intelligence Lab was co-founded by Hong Wang and several faculty colleagues at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Hubei University. We work to give robots the ability to perceive, make decisions, and manipulate objects in real, open-world environments. Our research covers computer vision, deep reinforcement learning, robot manipulation and navigation, vision-language models, and sim-to-real transfer.
Our goal is to build general-purpose embodied intelligence systems that can autonomously carry out complex tasks in unstructured environments, bringing embodied AI from the laboratory into practical use. We collaborate with universities and companies in China and abroad, and welcome students who are passionate about embodied intelligence.
